Jimmy Fallon, one of the most popular entertainers in the world and NBC's Tonight Show host, was on a mission with his first children's book to have every baby's first word be DADA. And it worked! A lot of babies' first words were DADA. However, everything after that was MAMA.
So take a lighthearted look at the world from your baby's point of view as different animals try to teach their children that there are other words in addition to MAMA for familiar objects and activities, now available in board book.
Cute book! Language stimulating! This is such a cute book! Lots of changing vocabulary with animal names and yet a nice repetitive phrase your baby/kiddo can hear and eventually be able to say when reading the book. I think this is different enough from the DADA book. If you liked the other book, this is a must!My baby loves to look at the pictures of this book. I love the ending and beginning of this book...”everything is mama according to you...” “but then one day you’ll learn you are everything to mama.”"MAMA" book needs to be a BOARD book like "DADA" BOARD book!!! I love this book. It is a great addition to the "DADA" book. HOWEVER, why, why, why was there no option for the "MAMA" book to be a BOARD book??????? My grand daughter loves her "DADA" board book. It has survived almost flawlessly for over a year. Not so with the new "MAMA" book. Yes, the cover is hard bound, but the pages are PAPER! She has had it for 3 hours and the pages are crumbled already. Seriously, who expects a 15 month old to be gentle with anything?! Who DID NOT realize that the same age group that pages through the "DADA" board book would also be paging through the "MAMA" book with paper pages with same lack of gentleness for paper!!! These two books will become the newest craze for baby shower gifts.I would've given this book 5 stars had it been a BOARD book. Disappointed.This is a great book but luckily by the time my wife purchased ... This is a great book but luckily by the time my wife purchased it I had already indoctrinated my son with the Dada book. Because of this, my son will tend to read the Mama book while saying "Dada" on every page. But this is an entertaining book with bright colors and simple pictures that my son loves.
